    FNSSS00014 Accounting Principles Skill Set

    This skill set is designed for workers in accounting and bookkeeping roles who use knowledge of accounting principles to perform a range of analytical tasks in various industries.  

    Completing this skill set is an entry requirement for the FNS50217 Diploma of Accounting and a partial entry requirement for the FNS60217 Advanced Diploma of Accounting. These units provide credit towards the FNS40222 Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping.

    Students have six months to complete these units.

    This skill set aims to enhance student's ability to develop a sound understanding of the primary accounting reports that are the output of accounting systems.  To provide students with the skills and techniques to analyse and interpret accounting information and the expertise to recognise and select financial information relevant to a particular business and financial decisions.  To develop a sound basis of knowledge and interest in accounting that will provide students with a strong foundation for further studies in this field.
