The Taxation Practitioner’s Board requires that as part of the qualification requirement for registration that individuals will need to be able to meet their statutory obligations in relation to the provision of tax agent/BAS agent services. Students are provided with resource files to complete the assessment as well as need access to the internet for research and the Taxation Practitioner's Board.
This CPE assessment covers the required topics listed in the TPB information sheet TPB (I) 10/2011 for BAS Agents and Tax Agents seeking registration or already registered as BAS Agent/Tax Agent under the TASA 2009 and covers the following:
- Board’s power to apply to the Federal Court for an injunction
- Civil Penalty provisions
- Administrative Sanctions
- Code of Professional Conduct
- Registration process and eligibility requirements under the TASA 2009
- Objects of the TASA 2009
This is a self-paced learning module and the CPD hours gained on completion = 8 CPD. Students have 90 days to complete this assessment. If you require an extension you may purchase an additional 30 day extension for $50 within 30 days of the expiry of the original course – i.e. a total of 120 days from the date you originally purchased the course from the instruction letter provided to you. Upon attaining 80% in this course a Certificate will be issued for CPE activity. If 80% is not attained, then students will have to be re-assessed on the incorrect questions.
